Program(s) Available: Minor
As our world has become increasingly affected by changes in climate, resource scarcity, and environmental degradation, humans have sought solutions to these problems. The concept of sustainability, maintaining existing resources so that future generations may benefit from their use, is often used as a framework for building these solutions and is quickly being incorporated into many industries and places worldwide.
This program is designed to provide an interdisciplinary introduction to the sustainability framework and includes courses in both environmental and social sustainability. Students enrolled in the program will develop an understanding of the interactions between humans and the places in which they live and work, and will gain proficiency in sustainable thinking across various fields.
